Accident Support Services International Ltd.

Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI) opened their first Collision Reporting Centre in 1994 in partnership with Police and the insurance industry.  The CRC program minimizes officer involvement in reporting collisions, reduces traffic congestion, decreases the risk of secondary collisions.  Police manpower and operating cost savings are reallocated to higher priority calls.  The immediate result is improved response times, proactive traffic enforcement, safer communities.  ASSI’s award winning Collision Reporting & Occurrence Management System (CROMS) captures all collision details electronically.  CROMS stores and transfers scanned documents and photos, includes Geocode Mapping and works seamlessly with other systems.  Police scan and forward on-scene reports, ASSI staff data enter the information in CROMS.  CROMS is capable of submitting completed collision reports to the Provincial Transportation authority providing significant time savings for the Police Service.  CROMS can also download consistent, validated reports to the Police RMS, eliminating duplicate data entry, allowing faster access to collision data.
